Training

At Blue Gill Consulting Group LLC, we take great effort in first determining what training, if any, is appropriate. We examine what kind of training the company has done in the past. What worked? What did not work? We then look closely at their goals and why they feel training will make a difference. Although I do not want to talk myself out of a sale, we do want the training to provide value and move the company closer to its goals.

There are times when the company desires certain messages to be integrated into the training. To that end, we review their training and extract the value messages. This is an important step. We attempt to maintain the language the company has begun to use so that the employees are operating on a training continuum and not piece meal training.

At Blue Gill, the retention of the training is of utmost important. We create high retention of information through stories, real life examples, homework and other methods so the participants in effect become teachers of the materials themselves. It is very gratifying to hear employees share with others what they have learned complete with the same enthusiasm and stories they heard in our class.

Our training with hospitals has included extensive leadership development classes which have been approved by the National Management Association for continuing education credits. We have trained on food safety, project management, communication and personal development.

Because Blue Gill has deep knowledge of strategic planning as a consultant, trainer and implementer; the business side of the payback on training is always discussed. Training is an investment and every training session scheduled should support the strategic goals of the company.

There has to be a strong measurable payback and Blue Gill understands the financial side of training and will work with its clients to achieve its goals.
