Our Mission is Simply to Help Our Clients, whether a business, or an individual to become all they aspire to be.

  Why the name, Blue Gill?

When I was a little girl, my Dad would take my brothers and sister and I fishing at Eastwood Lake early on Saturday morning. That meant that on Friday afternoon we would saturate the grass in one area. We would go back to the same spot late in the evening and with our flashlight find all the night crawlers and put them in our worm pail. We would find enough night crawlers to last us for one morning of fishing.

We would then pack up our poles, tackle box and some Kool-Aid. We would find a nice sunny spot and bait our hooks. I was a little bit of a tomboy and enjoyed this very much.

Over the next few hours, we would catch our share of blue gills. I always remembered the blue gills. We may have caught other fish, but I always thought the blue gills were the prettiest fish. Each blue gill always had what appeared to be a smile.

Later when I was searching for a name for my business, I examined what my consulting was really all about. It came down to simply, “I teach companies and people how to fish.” Then I thought of my childhood and all the Blue Gill at Eastwood Lake.

From that time on, my business would be known as Blue Gill Consulting Group LLC.

  The Blue Gill Philosophy...

Blue Gill Consulting Group, LLC was founded by business strategist, Antonette Lucente, focuses on assisting business organizations to unleash their potential and move to a higher ground.  The process is “teaching organizations how to fish,” hence the name Blue Gill Consulting Group.  Like every consultant, Blue Gill seeks to develop long-term relationships.

The difference is that Blue Gill prefers to foster a competence within the organization so that as issues and challenges are getting the needed attention with a customized implementation plan.  Blue Gill can then move the company to work on the higher set of issues.  Growing, healthy organizations always have problems.  If no problems existed, the organization would be close to extinction because no one cares enough to be unsettled.  Complacency will kill a business.

The belief of Blue Gill is that growing, healthy organizations exchange one set of issues and challenges with another.  That is where the approach to seeking that higher ground is fundamental to Blue Gill’s approach.

The higher ground organizations are seeking may be:

increased profitability
improved trust and respect in the workplace
development of a stronger management team
establishment of an internal virtual university for employees
closing the gap on projected profits and realized profits
identification of unaligned actions with stated values
